Hi, everyone! I am RiRi and I just want to share with everybody how happy I am that I finally got insured.
I had surgery the day after I was born. The initial finding was Duodenal Atresia where Mommy's OB-GYN saw in the ultrasound that I had a "Double Bubble" sign during my 8th month, and that was 2 weeks before my birthday!
What is a "Double Bubble"? It is a sign that signifies the presence of two adjacent fluid-filled units that appear black within the abdomen of a baby. So it means, my intestines are not fully developed and I won't be able to digest food if it won't get treated. So to make it simple, I have a gastrointestinal obstruction where my intestines are not connected to my pancreas. And it can only be treated by surgery.
Anyway, during the surgery my Pediatric Surgeon found out that it wasn't "Duodenal Atresia" but "Annular Pancreas" instead. Which will be treated with the same surgery called, "Duodenoduodenostomy".
Fast forward, yessss, here I am!
My parents were worried that my policy wouldn't get approved since I had a Congenital Anomaly, "Annular Pancreas". Some companies wouldn't allow cases like mine and would be considered as high-risk. Luckily, in Sunlife, we got approved!
Big thanks to our Financial Advisor, Jopie Bautista Cruz Nieto! We owe you big time!
Thank you to all my Ninong's, Ninang's, Tito's, Tita's, Lolo's, and Lola's for your gifts. It's all worth it!
